Our story

We learned to build where mistakes cost money.

Omar Garcia, our founder, has shipped production systems for thirteen years: the exchange backend behind one of Latin America’s largest crypto on-ramps, a Rust matching engine at 12,500 transactions a second, one of the first production MCP integrations.

Before Eigna he led AI engineering and built what became its base: Vesper, an open source local-first agent runtime, small experts trained on our own machines, and a learning loop with sealed tests and a release gate.

Our first client, a forecasting model for trading, shares founders with Eigna, and we say so up front. Two more follow: image and video generation for a media agency, and coding for a web development and design agency.

Our first training run cut forecast error 17.8% against its base model. It is not yet ahead of a simple last value baseline, and we publish that too.

Plain language

Why our language is plain.

Years before the LLM wave, Roman built a conversational agent for brack.ch, when language technology still meant intents, entities and hand-written training phrases. That is part of why Eigna’s language is plain: we have watched how people really talk to machines.

How we work

Lines we hold ourselves to.

  1. 01It lives where its owner decides.
  2. 02Every new version is tested, and released only when it is better.
  3. 03When it is not better, we say so. We publish what we lose.
  4. 04Ownership is a document, not an adjective.
  5. 05We stay quiet, exact and patient. The evidence can be loud.

Name the metric. Name the baseline. Link the page. Publish it, whether it wins or loses.

How we intend to build the whole company

In the open, on evidence, for the people who will own what we make.
