Engineering and simulation

Your engineers’ own AI.

Simulation surrogates trained on your own runs: fast first answers, and better with every run you add.

Will the new bracket pass the fatigue check at the higher load case?

Likely yes, with margin at the weld 1. The new rib sits outside the range of past runs, so run the full solver before sign-off 2.

The work that cannot leave

Simulation data and designs are a company’s crown jewels. Years of runs describe how your products behave. They should train your model, not someone else’s.

Where it runs, for engineering

Eigna Local

Data never leaves.

On your workstations and servers, next to the solver. Or Eigna Cloud, on a dedicated GPU in your region.

Training runs on a GPU we rent in a region you approve: an encrypted snapshot goes there for each run and is deleted after it. Where nothing may leave your network, it runs on your own GPU.

Three tasks to start with.

Simulation surrogates

A model trained on past runs gives a first answer in seconds, before the full solver runs.

Why did line 3 reject more housings this week?

The rejects match a worn fixture pattern seen twice before 1. Both times the fix was a new clamp insert 2.

The proof we will measure

A metric, a baseline and a sealed test, agreed before we start.

We measureError against the full solver, and time to a first answer
AgainstYour current surrogate
OnHeld-out runs the model never saw

The target is set with you before the Test Lab starts. If the expert does not beat your baseline, you keep the report.

17.8%

Our first training run cut forecast error 17.8% against its base model. It is not yet ahead of a simple last value baseline, and we publish that too.

Rules in plain words

What the rules ask, and what every release gives you.

  1. 01

    The solver stays the reference

A surrogate gives the first answer. The full solver gives the last.

  2. 02

    Released only when better

A new surrogate goes live only when it beats the current one on runs it never saw.

  3. 03

    Products with AI inside

Where a model becomes part of a product’s safety function, the EU AI Act’s duties for products apply from 2 August 2028.

Engineering and simulation

Released only when better.

A new surrogate goes live only when it beats the current one on runs it never saw. The full solver still gives the last answer.

Engineering: questions and answers

How many runs does it need?

Enough to cover the range you design in. The Test Lab checks that first: if the runs do not cover the range, the report says so.

What happens outside the range of past runs?

It says so, and points you to the full solver. A surrogate that guesses outside its range does not pass the gate.

Can it run next to our solver licences?

Yes. With Eigna Local it runs on your own workstations or servers; your solver and its licences stay where they are.

Test Lab

Request a Test Lab for engineering.

One task, your data, a sealed setup, about four weeks. If the expert beats your baseline, the test set becomes your first release gate. If not, you keep the report.
